Chairman of the Board Receives NYCUA Honor
Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union's Chairman of the Board Noreen Hennessy has been selected as one of the New York Credit Union Association's 2018 Outstanding Volunteers. Each year the Association honors select volunteers who have significantly impacted their credit unions and the credit union industry. In honoring Noreen, the NYCUA Awards Committee said it was "highly fitting that she receive this recognition due to her exemplary accomplishments and dedication to the credit union movement."
An HVFCU member since 1971, Ms. Hennessy began volunteering for the credit union in 2002, holding a variety of committee and board positions before being appointed Chairman in 2012. "Noreen's leadership inspires others to do their best," said Mary Madden, HVFCU's President and CEO. "She is one of the best cheerleaders we could ask for, often going out of her way to attend events in the community with our staff to keep her pulse on our members' wants and needs. We're very proud she's receiving this honor."
Ms. Hennessy will receive her award at the NYCUA Annual Convention Awards Luncheon in Saratoga Springs on June 8th.
