HVFCU Receives Student Artwork from Mill Street Loft/Spark Media
Poughkeepsie, NY - August 25, 2017
– Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union was recently presented with artwork from Mill Street Loft/Spark Media to commemorate the credit union’s ongoing support for their children’s art programs. The print is of an original piece created in the non-profit’s Junior Art Institute program in 2016. The student artist was in the 11 to 14 age group and created the mixed media piece
from watercolor, colored pencil, and charcoal.
“The credit union has supported Mill Street Loft and Spark Media for many years,” said HVFCU VP of Marketing David Dirks. “It was a pleasant surprise to be recognized for our contributions in such a unique and meaningful way.”
The Junior Art Institute at Mill Street Loft/Spark Media
is an innovative program for motivated students that
focuses on developing skills in drawing, painting, and filmmaking and helps aspiring artists prepare for intensive visual arts instruction in high school and beyond. Students explore the depth of shape, color, line, texture, space, and movement.
