Local Credit Union Wins National Recognition
Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce that its marketing department was recognized with two Diamond Marketing Awards recently at the Credit Union National Association’s Annual Marketing Conference in Anaheim, California. The credit union was among those recognized for Outstanding Brand Identity for its new logo and brand introduced in May of 2015, as well as Outstanding Financial Education for its unique seminar “Preventing Elder Financial Abuse.”
HVFCU’s brand identity was the culmination of 18 months of research and design partnership between the credit union and its marketing agency Austin & Williams. The new identity better reflects the credit union’s 50+ year tradition as a community-minded financial institution providing trusted products and services for families and businesses in the Hudson Valley.
The seminar, which educates the community about the warning signs and dangers of elder financial abuse, was developed and written by the credit union’s Senior Community Relations Coordinator Kathy Ferrusi. Hundreds of residents have attended the free seminar, often sponsored by local municipalities or non-profits.
