HVFCU Financial Services helped raise more than $2,400 in donations and collected care package items to support Semper Fi Parents of Hudson Valley. These donations helped Semper Fi Parents of the Hudson Valley send approximately 175 care packages to active military serving overseas.
“This donation reflects the first ever distribution of $1,000 from HVFCU Financial Services’ Community Fund,” said Jeffrey G. Thatcher, Director of HVFCU Financial Services. “We created the fund to help support local charitable organizations and are very happy to contribute to an organization like Semper Fi Parents of the Hudson Valley.”
“We are very grateful for the support and generosity of HVFCU Financial Services and its members,” said Paula Zwillinger of Semper Fi Parents of Hudson Valley. “We know people want to help, and organizations such as HVFCU enable us to make a difference for even more troops.”
Semper Fi Parents of Hudson Valley’s mission is to be an emotional outlet for Marine/military parents of those in boot-camps or with active or reserve status. They help raise funds for care packages that are sent to our troops, hold educational workshops for parents and troops, and provide scholarships to troops who wish to further their education.
