Newburgh, New York – September 30, 2010
Mount Saint Mary College of Newburgh, New York,
and Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union (HVFCU) have collaborated to offer the college’s alumni an affinity
credit card that bears the college’s logo.
“We believe our graduates will use the card regularly
as a means of showing school pride and supporting
the college’s annual fund,” said Fr. Kevin E. Mackin,
OFM, Mount Saint Mary College President.
HVFCU will make a contribution to Mount Saint Mary College’s annual fund based upon the number of cards issued. The Mount’s annual fund ensures that financial resources are available for the college’s greatest needs including scholarships, programs, technology and athletics.
“We believe the college is a valuable educational and community asset in the Hudson Valley,” said Mary D. Madden, President and CEO of HVFCU. “The college plays a major role in developing students into professionals, many of whom are employed at the credit union and playing key roles in our ongoing success. We are thrilled with this collaboration between two Hudson Valley organizations that have had roots in our area since the 1960’s.”
Mount Saint Mary College alumni can obtain an affinity card by going to any HVFCU branch office or visiting the credit union’s website and linking to the credit card pages.
HVFCU and the Mount will promote the new card at alumni events throughout the year beginning with the Mount Saint Mary College Alumni and Family Weekend at the campus overlooking the Hudson River, to be held October 1st-3rd.
