Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union (HVFCU) announced today that it will open a retail office in Beacon, New York, in the fall of 2008. The branch office will be located at 324 Main Street. Once opened, this will be the credit union’s 16th branch office.
The facility will be 5,000 square feet in size. It will offer members five teller windows, five offices for financial services representatives and two walk-up ATMs.
Turner Construction is managing construction of the new branch office. Mauri Associates Architects designed the facility. Arris Contracting Company is the general contractor.
The credit union is currently in the middle of a major branch expansion. New offices recently have opened in Kingston, New York, Middletown, New York, Pleasant Valley, New York, and Poughkeepsie.
HVFCU is a full service, not-for-profit financial cooperative, offering more than 200,000 members real estate and consumer loans, a wide variety of saving and transactional accounts, investment services, estate planning, trust services and business services. Property and casualty insurance is available through the Insurance Agency of the Hudson Valley, an affiliate of HVFCU.
The credit union has nearly $2.5 billion in assets. It serves its members through 11 branch locations in Dutchess, Orange and Ulster Counties, four branches at IBM facilities in Dutchess County, a nationwide network of 55,000 surcharge-free ATMs, Internet banking, online bill payment, and 24-hour account access by telephone.
