Poughkeepsie, New York – January 18, 2008
Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union (HVFCU) announced today that it has will conduct a weeklong grand opening celebration at its newly opened branch location in Newburgh, New York. The new branch office is located on route 300 and has taken the place of a facility the credit union has operated in Newburgh since 1997. The facility is 6,800 square feet. The former branch office was razed last December in order to make space for additional member parking.
To celebrate the branch opening, the credit union is giving away some of today’s hottest electronics during a weeklong raffle. Beginning January 19, members can stop into the Newburgh branch and enter to win one of six prizes. Winners will be selected daily. Prizes are:

- January 29, 2008 – Apple iPod Classic 80GB MP3 Player
- January 30, 2008 – Garmin Nuvi350 Travel Assistant

- February 2, 2008 – Samsung 37" 720p Flat-panel LCD HDTV
A grand opening celebration will be held on Saturday, February 2, between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 1:00 p.m. on that day. Food, beverages, entertainment and complimentary gifts will be available on that day, as well.
The new branch office houses eight teller windows, eight offices for financial services representatives, three drive-up teller lanes, two drive-up ATMs and two lobby ATMs.
Turner Construction managed construction of the new branch office. William Manfredi Construction Corporation of Pleasant Valley, New York, served as the general contractor for the site. R. W. Larson Associates, PC, designed the new building. The credit union is currently in the middle of a major branch expansion. New offices recently have opened in Middletown, New York, Pleasant Valley, New York, and Poughkeepsie with more planned for the future.
