Internet Banking is a free, convenient, and secure way to access your accounts any time, day or night.

To get started with Internet Banking:

Call us at 845.463.3011 / 800.468.3011, or stop by any of our branches and let us know you’d like Internet Banking access. Once you’ve been given access, you’ll sign into our system and create a username and password. See the additional information below about your initial sign on to Internet Banking.

If you are having trouble signing-on or using Internet Banking, first verify that you are entering your username and password correctly when prompted.

Password Resets

If you find that you need to have your Internet Banking username and / or password reset, you can reset them online.

Computer Performance

If you have trouble using certain features and functionality within Internet Banking, the actions below may offer assistance and help the performance of your computer.

1. Clear your cache

Clearing Cache

If you are using Internet Explorer, follow these steps:

  1. Click “Tools”, and select “Internet Options” on the Internet Explorer menu bar.
  2. Click the "Genera"l tab.
  3. Click “Delete Files”.
    NOTE: Be careful not to select Delete Cookies instead of Delete Files as this will remove all the cookies stored on the computer.
  4. Click “OK” on the “Delete Files” dialog box.
  5. Click "OK’.

If you are using Firefox, follow these steps:

  1. From the top menu, click “Tools > Options”.
  2. Click the “Advanced” tab.
  3. Click the “Network” tab.
  4. In “Offline Storage”, click the “Clear Now” button.
  5. Click “OK”.

If you are using Safari, follow these steps:

  1. From the top menu, click “Safari”.
  2. Click “Empty Cache”.
  3. In the “Warning” dialog box, click “Empty”.
  4. Click “Done” and close window.

If you are using America Online 7.0, follow these steps:

  1. Click Settings, and select Preferences on the AOL menu bar.
  2. Click Internet Properties (WWW).
  3. Click Delete Files.
  4. Click OK.

If you are using America Online for Macintosh, follow these steps:

  1. Click Members.
  2. Click Preferences.
  3. Scroll down to Web.
  4. Click Empty Cache.

2. Clear your cookies

Clearing Cookies

Please note: Clearing the cookies on a computer that was previously registered for Internet Banking will clear the Internet Banking registration as well. You will have to register your computer again the next time you sign on to Internet Banking.

If you are using Internet Explorer, follow these steps:

  1. From the top menu, click “Tools > Internet Options”.
  2. Click the “General” tab.
  3. Under “Browsing History”, click the “Delete” button.
  4. Click the “Delete cookies” button under Cookies.
  5. Click the “Yes” button.
  6. Click “Close” and then “OK”.

If you are using Firefox, follow these steps:

  1. From the top menu, click “Tools > Options”.
  2. Click the “Privacy” icon.
  3. Click the “Cookies” tab.
  4. Click the “Clear Cookies Now” button.
  5. Close preferences window.

If you are using Firefox for Mac, follow these steps:

  1. From the top menu, click “Firefox > Preferences…”.
  2. Click the “Privacy” icon.
  3. Click the “Cookies” tab.
  4. Click the “Clear Cookies Now” button.
  5. Close preferences window.

If you are using Safari, follow these steps:

  1. From the top menu, click “Safari > Preferences…”.
  2. Click the “Security” icon and click “Show Cookies”.
  3. Click the “Remove All” button and then “Remove All” again to verify.
  4. Click “Done” and close window.

3. Enable cookies (both 1st and 3rd party).

4. Make sure your security level is set to medium or lower.

Additional Troubleshooting Tips

  1. Please refrain from using the “back” button when signed on to Internet Banking.
  2. Internet Banking times out after twenty minutes of inactivity. When this occurs, you will be brought back to the Internet Banking sign on screen.
  3. In order to open accounts online through Internet Banking you have to remove pop-up blockers and allow hvfcuonline.org as an exception.
  4. If you receive a message along the lines of “Your security certificate has expired,” it may mean that the date and time on your computer is incorrect.
  5. If you should be seeing an account that you are joint on but you are not, please call us at 845.463.3011 / 800.468.3011.
