Our Financial Wellness area offers tools and resources to help you keep your finances in order—and your life on track. We’ve compiled a wide variety of resources to help you examine you and your family’s financial situation. These resources range from tools to help with your personal budget all the way to agencies that can assist you in a time of need.

SCORE – Counselors to America’s Small Business

SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to educating entrepreneurs. They assist with the formation, growth, and success of small business nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and can provide you with the “how-to” information and the tools that you need to get going.

New York State Small Business Development Center

The NYSSBDC provides free, one-to-one business advisement and information to existing or aspiring entrepreneurs in New York. The SBDC partners with numerous organizations on projects that advance the job development, investment, and economic growth opportunities of New Yorkers, with an emphasis on manufacturers, exporters, and technology-oriented firms.

The state has a wide variety of resources available for individuals starting a new business or expanding an existing one. Many of the state agencies have regional access.

Small Business Administration

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is as an independent agency of the federal government to aid, counsel, assist, and protect the interests of small business concerns, to preserve free competitive enterprise, and to maintain and strengthen the overall economy of our nation. They help Americans start, build, and grow businesses. Through an extensive network of field offices and partnerships with public and private organizations, SBA delivers its services to people throughout the United States.

  • Women – There is information available to women who want to start and manage their own businesses.

Economic Development

There are regional and county specific organizations that will help you get started. The employees and volunteers involved in the organization know our community and the resources available.
